    Injuries

Smith out for the season...also out of contract, so it appears he is finished with us. Middleton is nearly fit and should be back for the split. Levitt might be back before the end of the season. Pawlett could be 2-6 weeks. (from the courier)

As bad as Smith has been, I think Freeman has possibly been worse. At least if one of them was having a stinker, e.g. Freeman v Livi, you could swap them around. If we play wing backs at any stage, only other guy who might be able to cover there at top of my head Niskanen. Need Middleton and Levitt back, they might not have been brilliant, but they do have some goals in them. Pawlett sorry to say is a write off, who would have thought that with his injury history when we extended his contract.

Heard from a Farmers fan, that Smith is to join them in the Summer.

Sadly, Pawlett has been a dead-loss for us.
Presumably on a sizeable wage too for the next few seasons as well.

Pawlett got a contract extension as no person in their right mind wanted to come to United under the toxic atmosphere that Asghar instilled at United. For a Sporting Director to have made such a bad influence I hope no other club entertains this guy in any capacity.

Just like when we are looking for a new coach we are going to search far and wide and we ended up with Courts and Fox. His influence was overwhelming and that was why the candidates were from a small pool of people.

Possibly but to suggest 'no player wanted to come to Utd' is, well, nonsense.

There was also other managerial candidates when we appointed Fox. We tried and failed with Ross, so after the success of Courts, I can see why we appointed Fox, even if I didn't agree with it.

Flip that’s all we need. Hope Middleton’s close to returning. Even the possibility of getting last 15/ 20 from pawlett in games during the run wld be a bonus. Unlikely as that maybe.

even if levitt becomes fit again I’m not sure where he wld fit into this team at the moment. It’s going to be a dog fight and that’s not the type of player he is. It wld be great to have the option as an impact sub for last 15/20 though.
