I've always said Gary Chapman was the most important loan signing we ever made. We struggled to get going 1989/90 season but his goals set us on our way to the double Wembley promotion to the top flight. He did sod all after signing permanently later that season, but his contribution as a loanee was very significant.
Brendan Maloney and Matt Ritchie were important to the Munto campaign also.
