Interesting rule that in Italy.
I was thinking about how playoffs generally could be made fairer & had a couple of ideas...
(1) The lower league position team starts with 10 men. This gets restored to full strength after:
double the points difference {in minutes}.
(2) If the match is level after 90 mins, the higher league position wins automatically.
