Think that’ll be the case with Fozzy anyway. It’s what we expected last year but he proved too good to be left out. Still a crucial squad player but nearing the end of his career.
Cashin will have more competition this year and that is probably a good thing. Think highly of him but it’ll all come down to who performs best.

Unless of course we cash in on Cashin!

Good to se the guy from Luton who was their captain last season, think we have a strong defence now.

Very happy with the defensive side of us now, f seems to be one of the best in the league now, just need to be set up right and coached right. Admittedly I didn’t see many games last year due to a new edition to the family but I can’t remember a time when we were good at defending and attacking set pieces. If we can nail that element then I’ll be really confident.

No money spent on fees yet as far as I’ve seen so hopefully we can use the bit of money we have on a goalscorer and you’d hope playoffs would be a strong possibility.

Reading and listening to what Warne says, he is keen on defenders contributing goals at set pieces and no doubt stopping them as well. Yes its looking good, a couple of good quality loans will hopefully top up a good recruitment campaign.

Wilson looks a good one to have, provided he's not injured.

    Rooney's contract extended to 2016.

We have quite a few whose contracts expire at the end of this season. Knight looks like he's gone. Sibs' and Cash's expire in 12 months as do those of last season's newbies as we were only allowed to give a max of 2 year contracts. That's just about the entire squad except for the magnificent 7 we've just signed.

Action required on that front and fast, IMO.

Just had a quick butcher's... the following all expire next summer... Knight, Bird, Sibs, Cash, Barks, NNL, Thommo, Hourihane, Smith, Wildsmith, Collo, Fozzt, Loach and Robinson. I think all 7 of the newbies got 2 years, so till 2025. Rooney to 2026.

    Negotiations need to start immediately...

This may be no bad thing MA, if we aim for promotion. If we achieve it, then we may not want to renew all of those Year 2's as may be looking to upgrade. If we don't, would we want to keep the core that didn't achieve success in 2 attempts. No rush to extend, except a saleable asset like Cashin or Bird. We have till 31-12 to sort those out to stop pre contracts bein agreed

The older ones probably but I think we need to look at Bird, Cash, Sibs, Thommo, Smith, Wildsmith and Robinson ASAP

Bonis signed 3 year contract at Larne, so won't be coming. Obviously looking to win Champions League not League 1. Prefer a PL loan anyway....
