I don't get it myself, he doesn't seem a fit age wise and I cant see him being hungry enough: however I was similarly nonplussed when we signed McGoldrick last year, so maybe it would work out if it were to happen. I think we'd be better off with a young PL loan and Godden, but maybe that bird has flown?

I do however take some comfort from the fact that FLW are also projecting us as his landing spot, which pretty much ensures he wont come.

Strikers are at a premium. Clubs are either not letting them go or they are holding on until they have a replacement signed. I still think it will be next month before the striker merry go round begins.

We ahve Washington and I trust Warne's judgement on him, doubt we will rush to sign somebody to make up the numbers. A Prem loan would be just dandy and as you say 2 or 3 weeks before they get let loose.

Apparently we have signed Tony Weston, 19 on a free, previously with Rangers, he is a striker, but imagine he will join the u23's?

Anyone got a view on Waghorn? I'd have him back at the right price (salary), and I'm starting to warm to the rA 'woe is me' view of recruitment of any other forward, I have a sneaking suspicion Warne has ****ed up on getting in any of his preferences.

Of course that prediction almost guarantees Mpebbe signing for us tomorrow but hey ho
