I guess that would give the new manager a chance to assess their merits, but you could fully understand it if either decided to leave if any sensible offer were to come in while we’re “sorting ourselves out.”

Some of the criticism of Meslier (elsewhere) has been shameful.

Forshaw was one of our better players during the woeful farce that became the end of our season. Even though he missed a significant number of games through seemingly back to back injuries, he still provided more useful output than at least 50% of our muppets.

If he could be nursed through half of next season's games he would be worth hanging on to.

    Agreed 100%

Given the 49ers already have 46% the key members of the consortium should already have been vetted so no reason (beyond the obvious) for there to be a huge hold up.

bbc were going off solely players out of contract, Forshaw and Robles being the only senior players out of contract, with hammond in maybe he will see their value at the championship level and consider putting something in place, when fit, forshaw inparticular is a good shout to stay, robles is now classed as foreign so maybe him less so

Some coming up to the last 12 months too (Koch) so will be interesting to see the club’s stance on those too.

Looks like a lot of interest in Koch but if it is to be Spuds hope we hold out for a high price as it still galls a little what they did when we were in financial trouble with Keane, Lennon and Robinson and squeezed us very hard.

Not the only one with "beneficial" release clauses negotiated by our not-so-dear recently departed DoF. The man couldn't direct traffic on Sark (where the only motorised vehicles allowed are tractors (for those who dont know the Channel Islands so well)).

So who’s thinking of a free Koch?
