Laid the foundations for McInnes after McGhee's reign of terror at AFC. A good man who will be missed. RIP Sir.

So saddened to learn this terrible news ... Ah could eulogise fae here tae the next page, but aathin Ah could say has already been said at least once already ... Ah'll jist summarise. There's proper mannie's fitba, and there's proper fitba mannies. The former, Craig knew very well, but the latter, he epitomised.

    RIP Craig Brown - Legend!

A book of condolence is open at Pittodrie from tomorrow until Monday (but not Sunday) from 10am until 7pm. It's at the Richard Donald stand reception.

Also, for those who can't make it to Pittodrie to sign the book of condolence, you can do it online via the AFC website.

In the letters page of today’s Phallus & Jockywilsonsscrotum.

Moving, like Shore Porters on slipperene.

Now we know the identity of at least one of the meter-stranglers on the AFC limericks thread. Thanks Dot.

    Craig Brown was a trouper
In fact he was quite super
He done a lot for Aberdeen
One of the best managers ever seen
Never one to make a fuss
He got on with the job just for us
Now he’s a manager up above
Helping all the young angels of love
He was the King of Football
And he was loved by us all
    Never forgotten once seen
    A devoted manager of Aberdeen
If a football hits you on the head
    When you’re walking by
It’s just Craig Brown saying This is not goodbye

    Dot Niven,
    Loch Court, Aberdeen.
