I may have used this last season but I'm using it anyway.

'Some people are on the pitch they think it's all over.....it is now....it's five!' Okay that's a play on the famous Ken Wolstenholme commentary but I simply had to use it as we smash 5 past Cardiff to end what has been a miserable season.......I digress.

It really is over as the final game has finished for this season's Prediction League. We started with 27 entrants and throughout the season we finally finished on 22 so I thank you all for staying with it and me. This is a good bonding post that keeps us all together on what is a dwindling site, thank you.

Come on then let's see how we all finished and it is time to crown a new Champion!

No shows: A final full card, well done everyone rounding it off this way.

Weekly winner(s): Well, the final two winners are LolMorgan and Ronners who scored 10 normal points so collect 15 points each overall.
    Well done chaps.

Predict a Score: It was a double rollover and it ended Celtic 3 v 0 Hearts and four of you got this correct: Avondale, Grist, Harpo88 and CAMiller. 2 extra points each.

Wooden Spoon(s): The final day shows two this weekend as both ELK and MillersTale only score 2 points. The final spoons are yours gents.

It's time for that drum roll.........

This man didn't set off so well early on at the start of the season but he has systematically chosen well, had the odd piece of luck and he's slowly week on week picked us all off to claim this season's claim as Champion of the Prediction League and rightly so.

Please congratulate our friend CT Milller on a stupendous win, well done indeed Sir. I do also believe that his score is the highest ever achieved, maybe CAM can shed some light on that?

I claim the second spot with Millersrus picking up the third. A final note on that many more achieved the accolade this season of finally breaking the 300 point mark, very well done indeed. It's been a great battle, slog, endurance and I thank you one and all for keeping this alive.

NB. Final note on the Cayton v CAM battle. Although CAM gave it his best with a great late charge, Cayton sleeps peacefully tonight, but only just

    The final Table

Thanks for putting the time into this Brin, it’s been fun to play. Will strive for fewer missed weeks next season. Won’t change my system of predicting losses for Wednesday and MK Dons every time they’re up though!

Very well done CT, thoroughly deserved and thanks again Brin for the hard work and for talking me out of retirement, even though at times I played like a retiree!
