I would allow pass backs to the keeper it brings keepers more into the match
I find football has become boring to watch in recent times.
I would change the rule around restarting after a goal is scored.
No half way line kick off just let the keeper restart from where the goal was scored. To much kissing and cuddling after a goal has been scored and lots of time wasted.
It would make it more exciting. Keep a ten second rule for celebrating after which keepers starts.
Soon put an end to that shyte which spoils the game. Save all that for the end of the game...
That would be my change.

Offside only allowed in the 18yd area in front of goal - ban VTR from making decisions unless its for crossing line or penalty decisions - is that 2 rules?

If a player is fouled then he is allowed to put the ball down and to immediately carry on with the ball with as many touches as he wants. Imagine if an attacker is brought down just outside the box. Instead of the defending team having an age to set a wall etc there could be panic in the defence. If a defender tries to slow it down by kicking the ball away or similar then he is booked for the foul and impeding the free kick and is sent off. Less time wasted more action.
Introduced into Field Hockey a few years back and works.
Stop the clock when the ball is out of play, it would stop all the time wasting and ridiculous added on time.
This is a good one Des, the clock should be taken out of the hands of the Ref like it is in other sports.
My change would be to introduce the green card “sin bin” and a ten minute sit on the sidelines for the second bookable offence.
I saw this used in non league football at Lye Town last season.
Teams have to be very wary about stupid second fouls and transgressions that a ref might normally let them off if they were already on one booking.
The player that was fouled or last attacking player that touched the ball for handball should have to take the penalty
When after a foul a referee waves play on, thinking the team who have been fouled has an advantage, the fouled team have an option to pick the ball up (or raise a hand) to indicate that they would rather have the free kick.
