    Forwards?

A half fit Louis Moult would score more goals in a season than the two we have playing up front. Both Wilkinson and Obika pose no real threat to opposition defences. What has happened to Joe Efford out injured then he was supposedly back in training?

We're all agreed that another striker is needed. Let's hope that the scouting network can find a gem. The problem is that all our competitors are looking too.

what the team lacks once again is a goalscorer ... too many "forwards" aren't goalscorers.
And Obika hasn't shown himself to be one of those.

Wilkinson concerns me much more than Obika. I don't really see the point in criticising JO for his finishing, he has a certain job to do and will do it while contributing 8-10 goals. Nobody should be expecting more.

We'll probably be rid of Shields and Efford by the end of the window so we need two more forwards. At least one has to be first pick and of the 'i don't care what else you do just score' variety.

As it stands at the moment with the forwards we have none of them present a presence on the field that would worry opposition defences. Wilkinson and Obika do not make themselves nuisances by getting right in the opposition players faces.Limiting the amount of time they have on the ball to clear their lines. As things stand I can see us making a last minute panic move and end up signing Steven Fletcher.

Assuming he doesn't cost the earth, Fletcher would be a good signing - he'd be a massive upgrade on the obika role and JO could then be back-up, which we'd probably be happy with.

We'd still need to find someone you'd heavily back for 15 goals though.

Louis Moult has produced more in the first half of the game tonight than some of our forwards have in the past few weeks. The big question obviously is fitness and injuries. But what I have seen so far tonight if he stays fit he will be right up there to finish top scorer in the Championship. Arbroath back four will be hoping he is substituted shortly has he has given them no end of problems
