    Shady spuds, at it again...mmmmm

The London media will maybe protect em, again, should they allegedly receive certain tips.

I never understood the love-in, for the historic no-mark, chancers.

    T'was all insider trading, allegedly.

Sorry Exiled, only just catching up ...

    Hmmm ...

Not just this story, but so sad how the simple pleasures of life, including our once beautiful game, are increasingly being ruined by greed and corruption ...

Of course they are Win, money ruins everything when there's lots of it sloshing around.

Yes, it's so depressing, isn't it, Westy ... It just sucks the heart and soul out of everything ... On a bigger level, it does much worse, of course ... I despise greed so much ... I don't understand why so much is never enough ...

I think for many (not all) it alters their mind to focus almost solely on making more and more even when there's already more than they'll ever need. It's true to say that the most generous of folk are those who have the least.

Yes, I think that's a really good point about how it kind of alters a person's mind into becoming obsessed with more ... I remember someone who came into a lot of money seriously telling me that people with a lot of money had more to worry about than poorer people as they had a lot more money for them to worry about! Umm give it away to the poor then - worry gone! I'm sure the poor wouldn't mind that "burden"!

Absolutely, I've always found those who have the least, give the most. Some of the most generous people I've ever met, especially on travels, are those with virtually nothing. So humbling. Sadly, we give knighthoods to billionaires who give millions to charity, yet the person who is giving the most is the person giving their last penny, or going without a meal to try and help someone else.

Our values are so warped at times ... how we view success and value people etc. I feel so out of tune with it all ...

Au contraire Win - it seems to me that you're perfectly in tune, it's the others!

Thank you for that, Westy. I do wonder sometimes!
