    Equality in action.
    Yes it's no perfect.

Don't really see the need for separate tees in a scratch game. Surely scratch means no advantage tees and strokes.

And as I say mixed handicap comps can be played from same pegs as most courses measured for women and men off of all tees.

My female partner will play scratch against me both playing off red ( traditionally women tees 5,500 ) , and blue ( 6000 ) but refuses to part with a £ off green ( 6500 ) or white (7000).

Best efforts off tee, maybe 50 yds in it but generally around 20.

    She's an 8.6 , I'm back up to 7.3

Her playing red and me green with the 2 strokes she wins 80% of time.

    Made a mistake, apologies.

He was off 16 she was off 10 and he still ended up giving shots away.

In my opinion if women golfers want equality then they should be playing off the same tees as the men and there should not be separate golf competitions for women.
One of my friends was a member at Downfield and Grange and Dundee golf clubs.
He told me that the women golfers at Monifieth got their golf handicaps playing on the Ashludie golf course and when they had a competition on the Monifieth Medal course they could not play within ten strokes of their handicap.

Just give women the handicap they are entitled to and play off the same tees. Do not understand why they need shorter distances as well.

The women can generally not hit a golf ball as far as a man hence the reason that they have forward tees. It would certainly save money maintaining separate tees for women.

There's no gender based tees anymore just colour coded tees.

I think most courses now have men measured for red tees.

Surprisingly dosent make a huge difference.

    Me off red tees 7.

    Me off green tees 8

    Me off yellow tees 9.
