If 7 new players and more to come is tinkering, then I'm not sure what building a team looks like and 2 or 3 promising youngsters signed as well, including one fo the lads from Rangers who may well be useful in the first team!

For me subject to Bird staying, we are a striker and 1 or 2 midfielders short of a team. Given its likely we will get at least a couple of loans in and Warne is still pursuing a striker, I'm happy with the direction we are heading.

The other thing, which Warne mentioned in an interview, is that we now have players who can get crosses in the box, which suits the likes of Collins and Washington, whereas previously players tried to pass it in to the box.

Anyway I'm going for a nice 2-0 to calm those doubting the way forward.

    .
That is one thing I AM hopeful of, we have been pretty poor in this area for a number of seasons and I do think it will play to Collins strengths, don’t yet know enough about Washington but fingers crossed

Should be a decent crowd too. 877 home tickets left plus however many seats in block I and J of the East Stand the club have decided not to sell. Wigan have apparently sold over 2K so I think we'll get around 28.5K

ne can only go by whats reported or what Warne says in interviews, but it seems he likes to get crosses into the box and thinks both Collns and Washington will thrive with good service. Time will tell of course.

Seems there was another behind closed doors job either Tuesday or Wednesday and Wash put 3 away and had another disallowed. No idea who the opposition was.

Naive to trust the EFL to not take 30 points off us because Warne wore the wrong colour bobble hat.

High scoring draw for me. Wigan have good options up top and our home crowd will hopefully push us on. Couple of tap ins or headers I reckon. 2-2,

Well obviously Derby's dawdling in the transfer market and not having a full preseason told on them!
