Not a bad performance. Blackburn will be hard to beat on their home turf as they were last season. Some good signs but needs a few weeks to get up to speed as the commentary team rightly said.

We desperately need a left sided centre half, today shows what a good job Pieters did last season, under new rules Carlos not allowed to the press after the game because he was sent off I'm sure Sky will be really happy with that rule if it happens during a live game.

I know friendlies don’t count for much, but, defeats vs Cheltenham, Forest Green and Bolton, draws vs Salford and Burton, and a (1) win vs Shrewsbury is not very impressive. And, now a defeat vs an unimpressive Blackburn… Could be a long season…

I think that our major problems are at the back. We conceded poor goals in the pre-season friendlies and did so today. Surely Taylor should be given a chance and as has already been said, he wasn’t even on the bench. A poor goal also conceded by Palmer.
