Came to the Millers from Brighton & Hove Albion on loan, for the 2017-18 season in league one,
making 39 appearances, with 5 goals, helping the Millers gain promotion to the championship
through the play-offs, winning a EFL league one play-off winners medal.

Returned to the Millers on loan for the 2018-19 season in the championship, but could not help
stop the Millers being relegated back to league one, at the end of the season.
Towell made 34 appearances, with a return of 4 goals for the Millers that season.

2019-20 season saw Towell sign for Salford City, on a permanent deal from Brighton & Hove Albion.
