Back at last from an 18 day stint on British soil when I might add the Millers didn't lose a single game. CTMilller has a lot to live up to on his jaunt over there starting in a few days.

Wes Harding broke his scoring duck for Millwall but it wasn't enough to get them anything in a 2-1 home loss to Blackburn Rovers. Plenty of ex-Miller action in League 1 where Connor Washington netted for Derby in their 2-0 win over Exeter City, Sam Hoskins bagged a brace as the Cobblers drew 2-2 at home to Leyton Orient as did Hakeeb Adelakun in Lincoln's 3-1 victory over Charlton.

Down in the National League, Ollie Banks got 1 and Will Grigg got 2 as Chesterfield thrashed York City 4-0.

Emiliano Martinez has claimed the Yashin Trophy at the 2023 Ballon d'Or after clinching the World Cup with Argentina in 2022.

But the goalkeeper was booed by France fans inside the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris as he walked onto the stage.

Didier Drogba, who led the awards ceremony had to stop fans from booing him, saying 'please, please, respect' in French, as a replay was shown of his epic save in the dying embers of the 2022 World Cup

Semi Ajayi returned to the WBA team and celebrated with a goal in their 3-1 win at home to Hull City.

In the FA Cup Lewis Wing got what turned out to be the winner as struggling Reading overcame MK Dons 3-2.

Not much to report from a hodgepodge of league and cup action apart from Sean Raggett getting a straight red card for Portsmouth at Orient in the EFL Trophy but despite playing 80+ minutes with 10 men Pompey managed to eek out a 2-1 win.
