Phew! It was getting a bit scary there, so thank you to Haaland and Salah, who both had something to prove. I doubt they'll keep Bongo quiet for long though Could have gone the other way - not having KDb and Foden was terrifying - both could have hauled. Whenever I'm in contention, I always end up finishing third in final week so fully expecting it to happen again. Formidable opponents who won't give up until the final whistle in two weeks!

Look forward to playing Sam in the Cup. It will be like the old days

Sorry for the late press conference folks. I discovered Rosie is exceptionally generous of hand when it comes to pouring drinks.

Gosh, well it finally came home after 11( or is it 12?) years of hurt! I honestly thought I was destined always finish third so I am both shocked and thrilled at the same time.

Tough competition as always, with a persistent Bongo and Yubby snapping away at my heels like a pair of jack russell terriers for much of the season, while the silent but deadly Honest John, Nuc and Picasso launched all their chips at me, late on, terrifying the life out of me!

Everyone knows my footy knowledge can be written on the back of a postage stamp, so it's truly the awesome and fun people in this League that have made this comp so much fun for me - your individual characters and quirks inspiring the early write ups, and I'm so happy that the awesome, efficient, brilliant Rosie took over the mantle, and has carried this unique little League of ours, week in week, for many years now. And fortunately the football content has improved considerably under her watch! They do take a lot of time and effort to prepare, so I hope you will join me in a huge round of applause for the amazing, dedicated, hard working Rosie! xx

Congrats to Ozfan for his Manager of the Week award, as well as avoiding relegation and beating Ozfan Junior, and well done to Oz Junior for his joint Manager of the Season award which I am sure will restore the bragging rights equilibrium in the Ozfan household.

Rosie - just to quickly say, that I don't think I used to get emailed a reminder re League renewal. I generally found out via the oracles of Bongo or Sam that the League was up and running again. I think it usually starts around the first week of July, so it will likely be a case of just checking. To renew the league you just register your team as normal, and hopefully you should be able to see our League when you go into Administer. You just click renew league. I generally found Bongo, Sam and BB already in there, swotting hard! It will also give you a code to post for newbies or people starting a new account.
