Clinging to the hope that a run of games will get him going cos when you look at some of the clips of his past games he does have some talent , however , 30 + million quid feels like a pants down spanked botty kind of fee.

    Time will tell.....

You might say that Chris Wood is the question. Not perfect by any means, but always going to be a threat, something we don't have at present.

Good to see you posting and glad you enjoyed the game - always good to get a pitch side perspective.

Couple of people at work are season ticket holders and one said Rutter had his moments but doesn’t look like a classic ST. Also said Joffy looked good at times but short of confidence compared to a couple of seasons back where he would shoot on sight.

We need a more physical, type striker to do the hard graft & set up players and chances. With the likes of Gelhardt / Rutter in and around, plus James / Poveda providing hopefully decent balls to attack. At present to lightweight up top, with only one way of playing, the ball to feet.

Exactly - we have probably missed a physical striker for at least the last 3 seasons who can really bully CBS. Bambi has shown glimpses at times of being that man but only fleeting glimpses. Not sure we ever properly replaced Roofe or Wood before him.

I guess we have no chance of getting Piroe?
