Port Vale celebrate their first away win since 1st January as Charlton are again defeated by a 2nd late winner after the defeat to Bristol Rovers earlier in the week.

Charlton took the lead when Alfie May scored from a penalty though the judgement looked harsh on Vale. Charlton again dominated possession in the first half but failed to make any other chances count in both halves.

Port Vale equalised early on the hour in the 2nd half and then took the lead moments later. Kanu scored from a header so that the score was even before Ojo ensured the 3 points went to Vale minutes before normal full-time.

Defensive lapses against a more determined opposition who deserved to win are setting the scene for this season so far after 4 league games.

Charlton goals: May 10, Kanu 71

Port Vale goals: Wilson 55, Chislett 56, Ojo 88
