    Sunak and his Mrs (again)

See that Sunak has been cleared in the recent investigation into him failing to declare his wife's interests in one of the 6 listed childcare companies that would benefit from government payments to attract more childminders. Apparently there was some "confusion" that meant he "inadvertently" failed to declare her shares. Still, understandable really when you have so many fingers in different pies it must be hard to keep track of them all and, after all, it's not like he holds a position where people should expect to hold him to the highest standards of integrity is it?🙄

The standards in this country as a whole have gone down the shyte pot .

This was once a great country to live in , it's always had its problems I'm not nostalgic by any means but it's shameful how things have got to where they are today .

Respect and pride just don't exist like they once did .

Despite the malaise that has descended on this country it is still one of the best in the World in which to live. We do have, though, some politicians currently not in a position of power that would drive us still lower; be very careful what you wish for!

The country has gone to the dogs Ketts. Drugs, knife crimes, greed, unsafe for girls and the biggest volume of illegal immigrants ever!

The USA is not perfect but at least most Americans respect and love their country. Flying the U.K. flag in this country is seen to be racist - the armed forces are worried about going out in their uniforms and god foregive some junior schools having nativity plays!

Not a pleasant country anymore as many senior citizens will tell you.

Indeed, but the point that I was making is that despite those things that you identify, there are so many more countries that are far worse. I am not suggesting for one moment that we should just accept the state of things but in order to have any chance of turning things around (I am far from hopeful in that respect) we need politicians of integrity and courage, ones that will stand up for the majority, not the vociferous minority pressure groups.
