Charlton are now developing a very worrying pattern of losing to late goals, as happened against Oxford Utd today and the preceding 2 games.

Dean Holden can only have limited time before being moved on if he does not turn things round. Lessons aren't being learnt from defensive lapses in set-plays and missed goal scoring opportunities however few and far between. It's not an ideal situation with the new owners either but in the end the Manager has to change the tactics and address weaknesses in training sessions.

A group of young Charlton players were at times struggling without experienced teammates alongside them. Goodrham scored first for Oxford 1st half leaving Charlton to play catch-up in the 2nd. This they did when May equalised early on. But the real sucker punch came right near the end of the match when Goodrham scored again giving Oxford all 3 points, from a corner - see above on conceding in set play situations.

Charlton face Fleetwood at the Valley next Saturday and fans will certainly make their feelings known if the side does not get a result.

Charlton goal: May 63
