    Applause: Graham Saville

    As per the OS.

A minute’s applause will take place ahead of kick-off on Saturday in memory of Nottinghamshire Police officer Graham Saville, who tragically died this week.

Graham attended an incident in Balderton, Newark following a report of a distressed male on the train lines. He heroically saved the man’s life but in doing so was tragically hit by a train.

His colleagues provided life-saving emergency aid before medics arrived on scene. Graham suffered life-changing injuries and was being treated at Queens Medical Centre but, devastatingly, with his family by his side, he succumbed to his injuries.

Graham coached Ravenshead Reds Under 11s and was described by the club as ‘a great role model who volunteered his time so children could play football.’

A fundraising page has been set up to support Graham’s family, who are in our thoughts at this incredibly sad time.

I hadn't realised that Graham Saville was the uncle of Joe Worrall the Forest captain.
