My reply was to Returnofrros who is an active golfer and he will have heard of Bernard Gallacher who was a top golfer in the U.K. in his heyday.
I remember seeing Bernard Gallacher when he was one of the top amateur golfers in Scotland playing in the Scottish Amateur Stroke Play golf championship at Carnoustie in 1967.

I was really shocked when I heard about Russell Brand on the news.

I'd no idea he was a comedian
