What we need now, with or without Moult is a storming dominant home display at home next week to cement our place at the top.

Anywhere between 2-5 weeks, the gaffer thinks. Goes for a scan on Monday.

Well, 2 weeks is bad enough. But 5 weeks without our top striker will be very tough.

We have seen goals scored from within the squad. So, we're not toothless. But we could with another experienced striker in the squad. Moult provides a focal point up front. Can't see anyone else in the current squad that could cover Moult's role and threat.

Well Goodwin said recently he was happy with what we have.
We’ll soon see if he’s right.
Beats me how he can be happy with only Moult.
In my opinion we should have 3 strikers.

He brings other into play so well. He's always there as an outball, and within seconds, he's held the ball up, played out wide and we're off on the attack. We're going to struggle massively without him.

There's another international break coming up which will help, but there's no denying this is bad news. Why is it that 99% of the fans knew we needed to add a backup striker but the club didn't?

Then again maybe they did but just wouldn't. Nothing whatsoever against Tillson (second yellow a wee bit unlucky imo) but we have a lot of midfield cover and that wage could have gone on a striker.

Will be interesting to see if we sign an out of contract player. Or most likely don't.

Good point Stoke_Arab re: midfielder vs striker.

I accept that decent strikers are hard to find though.

The player budget is likely maxed out (Birighitti you ****) so can't see anything happening until Jan.

I'd imagine it's going to come down to Watt, McLeod, and Stirton until Moult gets fit?

I'll bet it is. McLeod would have to be recalled though. I'm guessing JG favours Stirton though.

That's a shocking position to be in (McLeod on loan too). The rush to get another midfielder in i think was in part due to Sheeps poor performances at right back meaning he manager doesn't want to move Grimshaw. Middleton can play through the middle too. Second yellow card for Tilson was complete joke yesterday, another example of woeful refereeing, but the first yellow was complete stupid tackle that deserved booking.
