    O/T Proposed Clifton Park concerts

The below is reproduced from rothbiz:

One of the world’s top ten leading concert promoters is planning two massive outdoor concerts at Clifton Park in Rotherham next summer.
FKP Scorpio is a Hamburg-based event company responsible for some Europe's biggest festivals such as Hurricane and Southside. Launching in the UK in 2020, the firm is a tour partner of music giants such as The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran.

The UK office has recently applied to Rotherham Council for a licence that would enable two events at Clifton Park in Rotherham town centre on July 6 and 7 2024.
Documents submitted as part of the application show that the site would have a capacity of 20,000.

So who is this concert going to feature? Well The Reytons who are promoted by FKP Scorpio are the obvious one, however with Sheffield Council declaring Hillsborough Park off limits for concerts next year other than Tramlines could another local band need behind the application. Muse, Def Leppard, we shall see.

Reytons would be the most obvious.

However the last Wentworth Festival took place recently and the organisers announced they were looking at carrying on with another festival at a new venue within Rotherham. Could be that?

    Bring me the Horizon?
Their genre of music is a bit marmite though but they would probably draw a 20k crowd with fans from across the north

I’ve tried guys, really I have many times but your tunes are not for me.

It's not the Wentworth festival, the promoters are big hitters , it's not Steve and Toby. This is a serious gig.

Mas, there's talk that it's Hooton Lodge next year. Wentworth wanted stupid money to promote it, so off it went.
