It won’t be 8 next Saturday afternoon.

I’ve just watched the most embarrassing display of football that I can ever remember. Sheffield United are down- it’s as simple as that. Newcastle did not have to be brilliant to rack up the goals at Bramall Lane. In fact, I truly think that most of the people on this message board would have scored in the game. The Blades have sank to an all time low, considering they played pretty well earlier in the season, against Spurs and Manchester City. On those performances you would have thought they had a decent chance of doing something, not playing as if they were on the local parks Sunday League. It appears to me that the players couldn’t care less ,and weren’t playing for the fans or their manager. In fact I’ll be surprised if the manager is still there by the end of this week.
As for Newcastle, I hope they don’t get carried away with this huge scoreline. We’ll show them that we are up for it, and that we won’t be rolled over. I am convinced it will be an open free flowing game with a few goals. Hopefully in the right net. Come Saturday afternoon, we’ll see if this result was a “ flash in the pan”. I think it is.

The Blades were embarrassing. I've not seen a team roll over like that since Hereford Town thrashed us on the Turf.

Bring it on, as Mal says they won't put 8 past us.

Are we talking about the team that beat us 5-2 in the same stadium last season?

I hope so but my gut feeling is that the Heckingbottom style of football will be quite successful against us.UTC

You'll need to be, United on 9 points just like your lads, had 38% possession and scored one goal. Best of luck in your attempt to score 7 more than they did.
