    Aberdeen v HJK Helsinki

Back to European football for us this Thursday (8pm kick-off, Scotland time). The first of four home games in a row; we need to be getting a minimum of 12 points from them.

The only other Finnish team we've ever played was RoPS in 2019, who we beat 2-1 in both legs.

Such a torrent of games and dram we`ve had since start of season. This one has rushed uup on us without much tthought being given to them.
    This must be what it`s like when you`re a BIG Club,eh ? ( COYR )

Well, how will Bazza approach this one ? Perhaps bback to playing with two up front. As usual , it`s a must win game.

Great rersult and play at Ibrox. Got to remeber this is just the beginnings of our new team. There is still plenty we can improve upon. ( Communications between our 3 Centrehalfs. To stop attackers gliding in between them being the crucial one ? >> Although a little more pressing 10 yards further up the park from the midfield would be more compfrtable too. )

Reckon first half will be cagey , as the teams size each other up . Bit like when we played Gronigen here ? Hoping for a couple of moments of pure brilliance from Miovski and duk for some goals too.

Do we play Clarkson from the offf. Or Barron ? Nice problems to have the choice.

Have to think this one we can win. No disrespect the the Finnish team though, as I know nothing about them.

As long as we get a good performance from the boys, the result will look after itself.

Just hoping we keep up recent standards.

A little about our guests on Thursday:

They are the current champions of Finland, winning their 32nd league title in 2022 and looking on course to bag number 33 this season.
HJK lost out this season in the Champions League to Norwegians Molde, then were knocked out of the Europa League by FK Qarabag.
They have played Scottish opposition before, losing to Celtic on aggregate both times.
Their away record in Europe is awful.
Several of their players are Finnish international team mates with oor Richard Jensen.

We're favourites with the bookies for this one unlike Hacken game when they were favourites.
