Eddie loves strong characters in the group - Matt Ritchie & Paul Dummett given 12 month extensions, when not many would’ve batted an eyelid if they’d both quietly been released. Don’t be surprised if Jamaal Lascelles gets the same at the end of this season.

I wouldn’t sell him at all - he’s a great squad player in many regards, much better and cheaper than eg. Maguire. I say give him a good new deal and focus on investment in other areas and in an additional CB.
