Scott Parker another with little success.
Southgate a funny one, didn't do great at club level, got the England job with little pedigree, was almost a 'well there is no one else best give it to him', done well with England but may never know if he's under achieved with the players he has, bit like lampard at Derby, on paper did ok but in retrospect you wonder if he could have done better

On the face of it you would have to say Southgate has done Ok with England, albeit he hasn't actually won anything. For me he is a very conservative manager and in my view bottled it against an average Italy side in the Euro final. I don't think he makes best use of the undoubtedly talented players available to him and should have done much better than he has.

I suspect his appointment was as much about a "safe pair of hands" as his coaching ability. Its a curious job national team manager, the hard work of developing and training players is done by the clubs, the national manager basically has to get them to play well with tactics that suit them.

Suspect the owners at Brum have made a mistake replacing Eustace with Rooney and it may prove an expensive one.
Its what has been said and note, I have never said Rosenior wasn't a capable coach, just that the appointment of Warne on paper was a sound decision.

Looking at it, Birmingham ahve allowed Rooney a rather large coaching staff for a championship club, almost as if he is a figure head for status reasons, but its recognised he hasn't the coaching credentials. twas ever the case, that image outweighed experience and actual ability!!

Rumours all over the clickbait "press" that he's got a big budget and will be coming for Bird, Sibs, Tommo and Cash. He can do one.

So...a January bidding war beckons between Rosenior and Rooney over Bird. That might not be such a bad thing considering he’d probably already be at Hull were it not for injury last August.

... or he plays one against the other, stays at Derby until the summer and then goes to the highest bidder improving the size of both his signing on fee and his weekly wages.

Well it hasn't gone stunningly for the returning Rooney!!! Poetic justice really if Brum get sucked into a relegation battle!

Agreed. Nothing against Rooney but Birmingham getting into a good position and now plummeting down the table.

Interesting one though, imagine if Warne was sacked now a good percentage of derby fans would be happy but from the outside with us 7th and a game in hand it might look a strange decision.

Not really seen what Birmingham fans thought of Eustace to know if they think it was a good decision or not.

Many were less than impressed, they seemed to like Eustace and thought he was making progress!
