I never get managers who change things too quick, like Pearson at derby, its only the same as work environments, if you take over you want to put your own stamp on it but provided it's not totally broken you take your time.

So, if the rumours are true, if he’s around for long enough and Rooney really is interested in Bird and Cashin...would you sell them, how much for and how (with who) would you replace them? Thoughts?

Would they go? Especially if we continue to improve, it's not beyond the realms of possibility we could swoop places right now.

To add, the only way they will go is if the players push because due to the EFL shackles we won't be able to reinvest any money we get anyway. Not until the summer anyway.

From 5th to 18th in 5 games. That's some decline. If we keep on with this good form and the Bluenoses keep plummeting, I really can't see Bird and Cashin wanting to go there.

How come? Clowes has already said that funds would be available in January, so if a couple of outgoings bring more funds in, surely we can use some of that to re-invest?

The "business plan" agreed to by the EFL has us able to pay "moderate" fees. What is meant by that is anybody's guess. Mine is that a moderate fee in L1 would be a max of £500K on any individual player.

Rumours that Rooney has been sacked by Brum! Well that went well!! Never thought he had the credentials as a manager as so many very good players haven't! Indeed, looking at the very best managers and surprisingly few were top class players. Probably because what makes a great player is very different from what makes a great manager.

    More than just a rumour
