Despite what I recently posted on the Fabian Schär thread, just noticed that Ciaran Clark has won a deal at Stoke City. As much as he’d declined here in his latter performances for us pre & post takeover, I think he was a very good signing after the final Ashley relegation and for a couple of seasons when we came back up - was never his fault that the club didn’t improve at that time and was content to give contract extensions to the likes of him, Gayle etc. Was certainly a value for money acquisition back in those dark days.

He did well for a while, plus it was his sending off at Norwich which led to Joelinton being reborn as the midfield monster we love so much today. So we have to thank him for that
