That’s a very sensible attitude from them
People were told not to travel in general so theyre typical footie fans and took a risk to see their beloved team as you say
Some of our fans would have done the same
People should make their own safety judgement and not wait for authorities to tell them what to do

Yes we had already made the big decision not to travel, from Wickersley !! After a trip to town at dinner time to visit the opticians it was fairly obvious it was unsafe and dangerous to be outside today.

Reminds me of quite a few away games in the '80s where it seemed like a race who could get in to the Prince first, us or the team 😆

Back then from north west away games used to call in the Prince before all home games same.

I was going but I might’ve had to turn back as roads were starting to be blocked either by trees or flood

Still some roads shut today in places due to floods so check before you leave
