    O/T:- ICC Mens World Cup.

England need a victory to keep themselves in contention for the latter stages and have managed to keep S/A down to a paltry 399 from their 50 overs.

    Will they do it???

It will be England's biggest chase in ODI cricket and a World Cup record if England manage it.

England have also never conceded 400 in an ODI innings.

Whatever you do, do not switch it back on. It will only depress you

From hero to zero, but not suprising given how we have ditched the 50 over game, in preference for the 100 slog fest.

You can blame various other tournaments all you like. The reality is that the ECB have stitched up the ODI team.
Players consistently rested. Players being asked to come out of retirement. No meaningful warm ups. Playing NZ in the UK in September was never going to prepare the players for sub continent cricket. It’s a **** show. No disrespect but Buttler shouldn’t be captain. He’s our best batter and is asked to keep wicket. That’s plenty of responsibility.
Then there is the selection issues.

While we have some good individual players, we're not a particularly good team. Hit and hope seems to be our only tactic. We seem to have lost the focus/organisation that we had when Morgan was captain.

I'm glad they're out...NZ would smash them, and any team that just want to kick penalties/drop goals to win loses my vote. A good as these kickers are nowadays, play some running rugby and make it entertaining to watch.

Tragic performance. They look tired, jaded and out of ideas. Lots of yesterday's pkayers there and think it needs a reboot. Australia 🇦🇺 team just the same. Is it possible the test schedule is catching up with them?
