The SPFL cited "attendances at previous Semi Finals/Finals" as a reason to reject the AFC proposal.

Obviously, they forgot about the 43,000 we took to Celtic Park in 2014 for the final. And if they think that we have taken too few fans to semis and finals in recent years, maybe they should consult an atlas to see how far Aberdeen is from Glasgow?

No surprise to be honest and at the prices of £39 for East Stand and £44 for South Stand the week before Christmas I think 20,000 will be a struggle to sell anyway

Their statement states "The split of tickets is broadly the same configuration as Aberdeen received for their last final in the competition, when they played Celtic in season 2018/19." So if memory serves we got less tickets when we were in the "hun" end and now we get less tickets for being in the "tim" end; and the rationale is "“In addition, the design of the stadium and its ability to split sections is a major factor which influences our decisions, together with input from safety and security authorities to ensure fan safety and appropriate segregation.” So that's all clear then Give the most tickets to the ugly sisters regardless of which end they are in

It would be good if someone at the club, Burrows or Cormack, could come out and explain exactly why Rangers & Celtic always get a particular end of Hampden and similarly the changing room also.

Why, as others have said, can it not be a coin toss which is filmed and in attendance by someone from the club?

At least that way there is some kind of moral victory if we're not getting a 50/50 split of the tickets.

Or even, at the semi-final draw, they state that the first pairing will be in the "home" dressing room (the one Scotland use) in the final and, consequently, have the choice of ends.

It just shows that there are workarounds if the authorities and the clubs really did want to change things, sadly however the same old tired duopoly is favoured and it would take every other club when they get to a final to stand up and voice how old fashioned things are for change to ever take place.

About time they were just publicly called out for blatant bias and accused of corruptively misrepresenting the majority of their membership.
.Big big loss by Mr S. Milne back when real effective change could have been forced through.

Just 5hink how much better SCOTTISH football would be without the filthy stinking Huns ?

So Sevco get to play the final in their home city, with more than half the crowd, one of their pet referees and an inevitable dodgy penalty if they need one. And this is somehow supposed to be a neutral venue.

The game in Scotland is as bent as a three pound note, we should boycott the final.

Fair play to Cormack for asking to flip for the ends. That needs calling out every single time.

I’d be happy enough if AFC told the Huns/SPFL to poke it. This will always go on until someone does
