We have shown previously this season we are capable of it , hence why we have only lost 1 game , however , as I have said today was unacceptable, for me , the attitude was wrong from the off , it seemed more about not losing the game as opposed to going and winning it

We are now in mid December, not October
The likeliehood,at this stage,is that Raith Rovers will win this league
If that happened this United squad would struggle in the play offs ultimately
Not attempting to minimise the deficiencies that need to be addressed but this game came at the perfect time for Raith with the teams in contrasting forms. They are playing with great momentum on this winning run and we have hit our worst patch of the season. Both of these situations may not be true in say March. Raith will have their sticky patch. We have to do something in the January window.

We have a +16 better goal difference than them which also illustrates something about how games have gone. They are on a great winning streak and full credit to them for that and they are serious challengers but they have done it by scraping a lot of wins in injury time, 2 of them with team giving away penalties at the death. What happens when that starts to falter we will see.

We don’t seem to have a plan b.

Horrible performances over the last few weeks. Little fight for each other and determination to grind out a result.

Also why are we so bad and throw ins and corners!! We almost always surrender possession. Fed up people!!

I can cut them a bit of slack at corners as we have been decent at them this season, and can only assume they had something in mind they were working on today, but throw ins are shocking. We put so much effort into building possession from the back, and yet, when it comes to throw ins, nobody makes any effort to move for a throw, especially our forwards, they all just stand like gnomes. I find it weird that we put all that effort into building from the back, yet are happy just to stand in a line and try flick a throw-in on. As for those two long throws at the end... summed up the afternoon.

But cup form doesn't matter according to some.

Arab,I cant disagree that fortunes can change
But Raith Rovers have been steadily improving over the last two seasons, getting to the kind of form they are in now
United on the other hand... well we all know that horrible story

Firstly though we obviously missed Docherty again at home and we've failed to win every one he's missed, got to be a priority to get a centre mid and a striker in January, we need a bit more depth

As for the game, was nothing in the game, Walton had one save to make from Stanton's header, and of course Easton's goal which should few been blocked despite his good feet, we had two men there, Dabrowski had to make a couple very good saves from Mochrie and Moult, they also had a few very decent blocks to stop us equalising, they had a wee spell at the start of the second half and the was it, we huffed and puffed but were comfortable defensively but we badly missed Doc both on and off the ball

Credit to them today theyve beat us and stopped us scoring but hope the manager and players watched the reaction of them at the end and use it for the games ahead, starting Friday night, you'd think they'd won it already, I think we are more capable of going on to win it but we must get back on track right away and keep the pressure on until we catch up our game in hand, they are going to drop pts and we need to take advantage, we are the Friday game the next two rounds so play first so need to do the business and not forget what we've done before today and that we aren't half way through yet, two more head to heads to come
Totally agree you should go on to win it , as you said last season with the same teams except of course the dees who’s place was taken by your good self’s This is the worst championship for years

agreed. they are unlikely to be able to keep the points-per-game they have at the moment for the whole season. As previously demonstrated by Shedka they are currently at a level only beaten by hearts in history.

We need to have another midfielder that can take docs place when he is injured (often) and not playing very well (last 4 games). Theres no spark from midfield. I though Mochrie did OK today but we need a consistent star performer there in every game. Too light in that area. and the striker issue of the last-how-many seasons is still there. I hope Ogren sees the value (like when he bought shankland) that investment done well means the bottom line is better overall.

Raith are decent but the first half showed if you attack them then in negated their attacking threat. We just didnt have the the final touch or a better ball in.

We dont have an option to drop Moult and we should. He needs to be scoring.

Panic stations? No. But we can't drop points to anyone. still in our own hands given there 2 games against Raith.

JC got schooled today, but he will have a chance to make up for it.

Should we buy a couple good performers at other teams in this division, like Raith Rovers?😂😂😂
