As ever, they look after their mates. We now have an unelected prime minister, a "yes man" as Home Secretary, a quitter as Foreign Secretary, and a Chinese sympathiser as Chancellor. What could possibly go wrong?

Just for clarity, we do not elect our prime ministers, we elect constituency MP’s, the party with the most has the opportunity to form a government led by their leader. Our general elections are all too often perceived as ‘presidential’, they are not. Anyway, it could be even worse and probably will do when Starmer and his rabble get in. Depressing, isn’t it?

Actually, they may as well bring Boris back, at least the majority of the general public like him, even if the media don’t!

Yes, you are right, point taken. Starmer will now have the excuse to bring back Blair, Brown and Mandlesson to make things even worse. Shame for Coffey though, but she's now got more time to smoke her cigars.

I despair at the state of our politics. The current Tory party seems to consist of a cabal of shameless, self-serving individuals at the top with more than It's fair share of divisive wannabe Maggie's on the right (though none with her ability). Ironically, non-dom issues aside, Sunak probably has the most integrity of all of them despite his weakness.

Labour will doubtless get in but this will surely be because of the behaviours and failings of the Conservatives rather than through people actually knowing and believing what Starmer and his party stand for or what his policies actually are 😞

This is a really odd move from Sunak and will backfire on him.

Only 2 years since the lobbying scandal. Don’t the conservatives want to move away from their current image?

Caught the very end of an interview today with Nadine Dorries promoting her book, she spoke of a group behind the scenes that really run the show. To get published the content went through several layers of scrutiny, do good people stand any chance of senior leadership in politics?

She has no time for Cameron, he must carry some influence to be back in government.

The situation in Gaza and Ukraine is extremely difficult and forgetting the politics, I feel that Cameron possesses the experience and association with many foreign leaders and officials which could be invaluable in discussions to attempt to alleviate what at present appears to be an impossible situation.
