Yes sympathy for the manager to an extent. I don't particularly like individual players being called out though. I think at our level the togetherness and the team spirit is so important. After Kelty scored the third it just seemed like game over with little response from the players or the sidelines and the crowd didn't believe. Beyond worrying.

It's easy to throw players under the bus, especially when they have no right of reply, but the players will watch the interview like the rest of us, so is it any wonder they are not playing for the manager? It's a lost cause, sadly, because the players have no respect for him.

It's time to bring in someone like Callum Davidson with a great Scottish Cup pedigree, who could lift the players for Saturday and get them believing in themselves again.........then the results will change.

I wouldn't like to play under him. We are talking mainly about young players who only want to play football and what they do out with training should be up to them as long as they do not break club rules. Players just can't take in everything that he asks and he is too demanding. Playing football should be fun at our level and this, too high, an expectation he has for players at our level was a concern I had early on when hearing his interviews.

Callum Davidson! Last time you were after Neil Lennon...

I've got as much chance of a date with Taylor Swift. Be realistic man!

    Aim high Sane Man.

If Callum is not in a job, he might quite fancy it.

Ian McCall took on the Clyde post, who are two leagues lower than Partick.

Not sure if any sympathy for a manager who’s lead us to 9 defeats from 14 games.

A quote from Hewitson when Wullie Gibson was fired

Chairman, Billy Hewitson said “There is no doubt that Wullie is Queen of the South through and through and wants the best for the club. He is a young manager who deserved the opportunity, but football is a results-based business, and we aren’t happy with the season so far and we have to do what we feel is best for the club. We thank Wullie for his efforts and wish him well for the future”.

But football is a results based business - Mmmmmmmm 😏

So what we are looking for is a manager with a proven track record who has not seen our gutless squad perform either wise he would run a mile. Not much to ask for.

No Beautiful South, what we need is someone who can manage a group of young players and get the best out of them. Ruling by fear and then using them as pawns to save your own skin is not how to get the best out of any players, never mind a young squad.
To be fair to Bartley, losing Mimnaugh for the season was a huge loss, but there is sufficient talent in the side for me to see a top 4 finish, but only with a fresh pair of eyes to assess the squad and to bring in 2 or 3 players in the January window.
The season is far from over, but if we continue with Bartley it most certainly will be.

I agree that the manager is culpable but the players have put in too many gutless performances to be free from blame. They have lost far too many games too easily. Whether or not they respect the manger is by the by, they are professionals so should be putting in maximum effort in every game. Something which is sadly lacking.
