A joiner I know in my local pub in Mansfield had some work in the North East.He had just got back and was telling everyone about it.He said I enjoyed Newcastle,beautiful buildings,friendly pubs and no bother.
My next job was in Sunderland and I could not believe such a difference 13 miles makes.It was scruffy and I could not go outside the pub without some chav asking for a fag.I don't know words to describe it,a woman at the bar piped up S. Hithole is the word your looking for.
