Looks to be consolidation and go next season?
IF it stays as it is now it’s not a disaster as we won’t have lost Langstaff or Jones, that would be pretty positive.

Tshimanga signed for Boreham Wood. On loan from Posh.
If he’s fit, he’s going to bang some goals in for them. He would have been a hell of a bench warmer!

Agree that’s a top signing for them.
Find it disturbing that we apparently made £750k + off LW and Harley and nothing has been reinvested so far today.
Starting to question the position we are are, are the owners really as ambitious as they say given our current league position and that everyone around us is strengthening with quality yet we can’t even name a fit striker on the bench and we are shipping goals quicker than the titanic sank.
    Just a personal opinion.

Of course they aren't ambitious, they are quite happy for us to stagnate in L2 while throwing a few million in.

Ambition can be shown in a number of ways. I’d say it’s ambitious to have your better players on longer contracts and the players seemingly happy to stick around. Keeping our key players IS showing ambition IMO. Just because the club hasn’t gone out and spunked a load of money on a panic buy in the January window, it’s seen as a lack of ambition. The club is much more relaxed and considered than it’s ever been when it comes to player recruitment. It could be that the right players aren’t available now or for the right price.
Personally, I’m delighted with the window… being able to watch Macca and JJ among others at least until the end of the season is a huge positive.

I think the owners will view this season as one of consolidation, especially as LW has left halfway through. We will obviously lose ML & JJ in the summer so I suspect we will have a significant budget in the summer with a view to aim for promotion next season.

Agreed. Even if this Jatta guy, who social media is all over, comes in, he’s not exactly won golden boot so far in his career.

The only worry is Boro and Langstaff, they’ve sold a striker today for 10m and will be looking for a another, I think he also supports them.

I cant see the point in spending a chunk of next seasons budget on players just to make up the numbers. We are not going up this year, and will be very lucky to finish in a play off spot. We may aswell wait until the season ends, and then go for the players that we identify to strengthen the team.. That way we are not left with a bunch of players who didnt originally fit the bill..
