LW has a clear plan in how he wants us to play, and i particularly love this style of play
But our defenders are just not good enough to play this way. If we're being honest, only Baldwin and Macari are good at defending
Brindley backs off, slows the game down to a stand still, Cameron doesn't challenge, falls over and can't head it or pass it with any conviction
Rawlinson has just gone past his best
I think it's clear to everyone that the style of play and tactics aren't the problem defensively, but the caliber of players being asked to do it

All those that got us back to the EFL deserved a chance to prove themselves at this level and the first half the season was always going to be the opportunity to see how well they all got on. If not the entire season.

There will come a point (the debate will be if we are there yet or not) where not all players will continue on the clubs journey to the next level. If we are going towards league one then to compete at that level and not be a FGR we will need lots of players who can play comfortably at that level.

However on today only it would be wise to take note of what kill the drum says because the four goals conceded today were from individual mistakes by midfield players.

That’s not to say we don’t have trouble with the defence conceding goals as the number conceded is high and it does need to improve. This will be key improvement for 2024.

Have my instant reaction to the game but likely to be of the knee jerk variety so will leave that to others before giving my views.

Will say now that it was a good atmosphere and vocal support throughout where I was stood in the away end. Very nice new stadium, great away end and top pre-match pub in nearby Earlsfield with both sets of fans mixing well.

Exactly what I said, doesn't matter what style you play if you can't be arsed to put the effort in. You ever see man city dropping off in effort at all even against lower based teams? No way, pep would go mental and drop them. Notts players sometimes think they just have to turn up and they'll walk it. This is a worrying character trait and the application you put in isn't something really to be taught, you either give a **** or you don't. This is why this game today has made me so mad, if they can't be ****ing arsed, let us know and we save ourselves 2 hours nevermind the money and time spent by fans who went.

Get a grip Notts, you play football normally once a week and you can't be arsed playing like it means the world to you? Do one then.
