    European football has come

And another ridiculous pen for PSG. Same in the prem at the weekend, stupid penalty decisions. Not sure if it's worth bothering to watch this crap anymore?

    Thank goodness for RL!
MInd you, remember that there is plenty of decent football played, without outside interference, once you get away from the 'elite' level.

Could someone remind me just what the problem was in football that VAR was supposed to be the answer to ? I really cannot remember just what caused this lunacy to be imposed on the game. It must have been something absolutely catastrophic if this ongoing farce is an improvement on it.

VAR was supposed to address "clear and obvious errors".

Hand of God, Henry v Ireland, Darren Bent beach ball...Koscielny offside/handball v us in 2016.

Where it's gone wrong is the line for "clear and obvious"

Welcome back on board T_F - VAR would still not have ruled in our favour on the Koscielny offside/handball v us in the 2016 fiasco.

Perhaps we should have a tennis & cricket style review process. 2 reviews per team per game, captains decision if VAR is used...

But of course if the VAR ref is clueless then nothing is gained
