    Morton (A)

Starting this one a bit earlier - I imagine there will be a few games off this weekend with frozen pitches but hopefully ours will be ok as it doesn't look quite as cold through Greenock way. Don't know if they have undersoil heating or not.

I was just thinking the same, but is -1 overnight until 10am in morning so might be in doubt. Don’t think they have undersoil heating so touch and go I think??

Not too dissimilar to conditions we have right now, so hopefully it should be okay.

This is almost must win for me, in the sense that we need to stop this poor run that we're on. Winning breeds confidence, losing doesn't. We haven't the strength in depth to replace players if heads start to go down and it's certainly not a time to be going on a stinker of a run. Five poor performances from us now. It's time to put that to bed.

Seeing the fixtures our closest rivals have, a win might just give us the bit of breathing space we need.

Strongest team possible with guys who can stand up to the tactics laid down in the last game.

Agree. There's a bit of pressure building now because major questions will be asked if we can't beat the team rooted to the bottom. And, it's on grass!

    Hard grass! 🥶😂

But yeah, let's not put any more pressure on ourselves than their already is. Fans are starting to grumble and no one can deny performances have dropped, even before the cup ties.

Find it crazy that pressure is building due to a couple cup games, one that no one cares about and one where we missed a lot of chances and their goalie had a good day, with a couple defensive mishaps, one that probably in reality would become a distraction we didn't need second part of season

Hopefully we don't add our own pressure, that's why a win is important aswell, need the fans to stay positive, we are the league leaders with a fantastic record so far, by far the best goal difference too

We are good enough to improve on the defending of last week and maintain our excellent form to date, Morton will be up for it but if we get back to performance levels we will come out on top

Pressure comes with success. Two really bad defeats on the back of a couple of poor performances have brought that on. We've gone out of our national cup competiton at the first time of asking remember? Fans are right to be aggrieved and ask questions, especially on the back of a thumping to a lower league side. Add to that the capitulation last season under Goodwin (which is still very raw in the minds of some fans), it's only natural pressure will build. There will doubts about Goodwins ability to turn things round when things go wrong based on his time at Aberdeen and those last five games last season aswell. We just need to win this weekend and settle a few nerves that are kicking in.
