Following an early morning "knock at the door" (08.00 - 30.11.2023) courtesy of a specialist anti-racism police force I will personally only contribute to or create posts which are relational to football matters only.

No Israel, no Jews, no comments about anti-Semitism, no black footballers, no white footballers, no "taking the knee" discourse of any kind just comments such as, "Why did we buy John O'Shea?" Certainly, no comments about the capability of Garth Crooks to analyse football matches.

There is a certain irony to that I will agree army88, but as far as i can remember I have never called you directly a "racist right wing bigot".

Next step is I have to appear at a Police Station by appointment which is near to me to make a statement under caution.

I will of course be taking a solicitor well versed on such matters with me.

A "perceived racist post" if you don't mind army88 although comparing Crooks to a Dutch BBQ is not really fair on the BBQ I don't think.

I trust it was no-one who contributes to this board. It reminds me of one time when I was working for HMRC. I received a letter from a taxpayer which commenced “Your information is correct but your methods are reminiscent of the KGB”. What has happened to you BT pales into insignificance but is perhaps a salutary lesson that the thought police are everywhere and a knock on your door can come at anytime for anyone. Scary is the word.

I've just got back from my daily walk, the fight has just begun. Anyone who really knows me will happily realise I do not have a racist bone in my body. Garth Crooks is an eejit when it comes to talking about football and I will defend the right to say that anywhere, anytime. The Black b@stard comment was not well considered however, I will concede gladly that.
