First of all - every single one of these defenders will always have legend status at Notts in my eyes because getting promoted out of the NL is incredibly difficult. They showed unbelievable mental and physical resolve to do this. Now that this huge step has been achieved great foundations are in place for the brothers to take Notts as far as they want to go. However Im sure they are looking at some of this calamitous and, to be honest, embarrassing defending and know that change might have to come soon in that department. Personally Im just happy the club are back in the EFL and actually more promotions can wait if thats the way they want to build things. The defending needs to be a bit more competent though even if it’s just basic stuff. I would just keep LM long term and gradually phase out the rest. 20 odd games at this level is enough to know its not going to be any good going forward. They are all great characters and have done brilliantly for us and Im very grateful for that.

Never ever thought I would agree with anything you post, but you are 100% spot on with this none performance by our useless/clueless back 4 tonight

Well we now know the current team are not good enough for League 1 - beaten twice by Lincoln and now Shrewsbury .

Barnstoneworth Utd-esq defending; that kind of defending would be questioned in certain countries as to whether any match fixing had taken place. I won't allude to what countries I'm referring to, as the left will be up in arms.

Comical defending. Worst I’ve seen for a while. Very frustrating as Shrewsbury offered nothing and now have a chance to play one of the big boys.

Well said, I seriously dislike some of the personal insults towards our defenders, they got us out of non league with a very decent defensive record and contributed to many goals.
Yes they are struggling and yes we will need slightly better to challenge the top 3 but there’s no need for some of it.

The goals conceded tonight looked as though our players had been bribed or they had a bet on the result

Having said that is some of it down to Matty Palmer missing as he's normally there to take the ball off the back 3
    under any circumstances
