    Tony Mowbray gone at Sunderland

The manager merry-go-round is really starting to revolve tonight.
    Surprised with this one.

Strange one, 3 points off a play off spot having played more games away than at home. Does Mowbray have a knack of rubbing people up the wrong way, he did a good job at Blackburn and they just let him go, no offer of a new contract, I could never work that one out.

Me neither. He tells it the way it is, however, as we know, these days that is a recipe for disaster!

Sunderland fans not happy at all with this sacking.

I've mentioned this once before I ran across him in a hotel bar in Teesside when he was managing Middlesbrough, we discussed footy for over one hour.

He's a proper chap and extremely knowledgeable about all footy matters.

I cannot imagine Sunderland will find a better custodian for their football club than Mr Mowbray.

I'm glad we have an intelligent chairman in Alan Pace.

Seems like Sunderland's owners want to go down the Pace/ALK route of finding young players, improving them and selling them on at a profit. But whereas Vinni is on board with it, Mowbray wasn't and let it be known. Only one winner in that sort of situation, those who pay the bills.

Gents I’d guess he’s been told that he’s going to lose Clark and or the full back to us in January said he’s not happy and parted ways.

It has to be players for me.

According to what I read it's been simmering for a while, it was only a matter of when, not if.
