Thread: Ayr

Should we be playing two holding midfielders whilst at home to a team we expect to sit in and keep things tight? I'd
like to see us be more aggressively attack minded therefore the discussion is Doc/Sibs and Mochrie/Glass/Watt/Meeks, if he wasn't injured again, in a more 4141

Disagree, we aren't that much better than anyone else, Sibbald and Docherty should still be starting together for us to get a grip of games

The Gallagher/Holt and Sibbald/Docherty partnerships are what brought us the good results before our Cup meltdowns so I'd be reverting back to that today.
If we defend properly (not too high) and do the simple things well in and out of possession we'll be fine. But we do have to start converting more of the chances we create.

    Forecast in changing shock lol

It wasn't showing heavy rain all Saturday and was meant to be light or none in the few hours to kick off, but now it's yellow alert for rain now

Survived the night of the Arbroath game so hopefully pitch holds up

It's the first choice 11 with Mochrie in for Watt

Can't say he's not picked the right team, if we play well and defend right we win (not withstanding any dodgy ref involvement)

Again...we need to get some more attacking threat/goalscorers in the squad. TW being left out due to fatness problems (typo was meant) and having let down a gaffer that gave him a clean slate, surely means that we try once again to offload him in January. His signing has been just as poor as Poppadoms in my opinion.
    Please, please, please Mr Ogren...
    splash some cash in January!

Tony Watt signing is up there with Alex Mathie. United splashing cash over a certain amount on a single player rarely works out.
