Back to post #1 on this thread........No, we are not good enough to survive in the PL. Watch the Burnley/Everton, Chelsea/Blades or Florists/Spurs games, we would be taken apart by any of the losing teams, never mind those that ended up winning, and that's largely the lower echelons. We have at best four or five players good enough to survive in a PL side that is in any shape or form "competitive" (Meslier, Struijk, Gray, Summerville, James) and a few younger players that given sufficient opportunity NOW might be able to contribute, even succeed as 1st team regulars (Joseph being one such, the likes of Cresswell, Hjelde, Shackleton we might never know because the club seems minded not to give them the opportunity to show their worth at this level or higher).

The problem is that unless we are still VERY much in the mix when it comes to the playoffs by the time the winter TW opens, there are some who won't want to stick around to see what happens when the TW closes (Summerville being one, there are others we all can guess at), and once that starts, the playoffs will be a distant dream.
