To be fair TTT, Stanton should never have been allowed to leave in the first place and our form in 2019/20 dipped noticeably after his departure. What he does well (and is still doing for Raith currently) is linking middle with front but also offers late runs in to the box to exploit space and opportunities.

He is out of contract at the end of the season and as such is available for pre contract in 12 days time. Whether Rovers would accept a marginal fee right now given their position however is questionable. And would Stanton even want to come back anyway??????

We need to do SOMETHING to freshen up the side, but what....?
Panic signings because our form has dipped, nah.
Hopefully this is being carefully considered because any player coming in January has to be good enough for the Premiership.

It was a mystery to me at the time re Stanton, with better players around him would have been a considerable upgrade on Pawlett and erm Harkes. But probably not one for the future at this time.
