3-1 Macca, 858 pies
Thanks to SmiffyPie and uysapie correctly predicting a 3-1 defeat last Saturday, we made an overall profit of 19 on the game, but it still looks like we’ll be paying for the bookies’ holidays next year. They reckon we’re 9/2 to win tomorrow, the highest odds this season for us to win a game.
I rarely predict a Notts defeat, but I agree with the bookies; I cannot see us coming away from Edgeley Park with anything. As for a score prediction, surely they can’t score 8 in consecutive games, can they? Is a Wootton hat trick on the cards?

As this is the final game before Christmas, I'd like to wish everyone on the Leaderboard, including all those trying to escape the Also Rans, a Merry Christmas and thanks for taking part.

I very rarely predict a Notts defeat, so why break a habit? I’ll go for a gutsy, backs-against-the-wall 2-2. Goals from Baldwin and Jones. Notts att: 856.
Of course, Wootton is bound to score for them. I hope he gets a good reception from the Notts fans, though - was a model pro for us.

Kudos to the two who predicted the correct score at Harrogate. Didn't see anything quite as bad as that coming.
As well as being 11 uneaten at home to us, Stockport are also 11 unbeaten at home in L2 this season (since losing 0-1 to Gillingham on the opening day). Not surprisingly they have the best average goals per match and 3rd best record for keeping goals out.
8 clean sheets in their 12 home games is perhaps the most daunting stat, seeing that we have so much trouble not conceding.
I'm tempted to keep predicting 2-2 from now on until we get that result for the 1st time this season, but just can't see us picking anything up here.
Stockport 2 Notts 1
Again I m one that never predicts a defeat but cannot see us getting anything from this. 2-0 Stockport. 888 from Notts.
