    Full backs is the one position we are extremely short on, and we get rid of a good one, we wait till he’s back from injury, play him a few times then get rid, makes no sense.

    Ok, so not ideal, but can anyone realistically suggest that Gray hasn't been hugely impressive, playing forward of RB and delivering to James, even played "out of position"? Maybe that's where he really is destined to play his best, when all is said and done?

    Perhaps we are too fixated on the "playing in position" concept? E.g. Firpo is never going to be a LB as long as he has a hole in his ar5e, but he can be very effective as left-sided midfielder able to provide some really excellent touches (as was shown against Brum)?

    Didn't see the driving force behind the Spence recruitment, maybe we will see a youth promotion? Would prefer that (Cresswell played "out of position" or Hjelde where he has done well) to another incomer.
